Dr. Dinsmore is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Dinsmore received a BS from Oral Roberts University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. His undergraduate degree was Biomedical Engineering, with a double minor in Biology and Chemistry. He received his Medical Degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
While serving in the US Army, Dr Dinsmore became a board certified General Surgeon, and served as the Chief of General Surgery, 121 General Hospital, Seoul Korea. Following this, he was stationed at D.D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Ft Gordon, Georgia. While there, he served as the Residency Research coordinator and as a teaching attending surgeon in the General Surgery Residency Program. After serving four years as a General Surgeon, Dr. Dinsmore sub-specialized in Plastic Surgery. He completed his training at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta GA, before returning to finish his service obligation with the Army. After his plastic surgery residency, Dr Dinsmore served as a General and Plastic Surgeon for three years. During his time in the Army, Dr. Dinsmore served in Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq.
After leaving service in 2009, Dr. Dinsmore returned to where he trained in Plastic Surgery, this time as a teaching surgeon. He currently serves as the Assistant Program Director for the Plastic Surgery Residency program. He continues to serve his fellow soldiers by working at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical center, where he is the Chief of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Dinsmore's areas of interest include post-bariatric body contouring, hand surgery, general and micro-vascular reconstructive surgery, and cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Dinsmore is happily married, with two children, two dogs, and attends church at New Life Christian Center. Interests outside of medicine include sustainable agriculture, skeet and other target sports, reading, and photography.
