Richard Witham, M.D. has over 30 years of experience in all areas of general surgery, including upper and lower endoscopy, thoracic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and endocrine and breast surgery.
Throughout his career, Dr. Witham was appointed to the positions of Chief of Surgery Department for Morgan County Memorial Hospital, Chairman of the Credentials Committee, Chairman of the Quality Improvement Committee, and served as the American College of Surgeons Liaison for the MCMH Tumor Board. In addition, he served as the American Cancer Society Indiana physician coordinator for Breast Self Examination Instruction for a period of 6 years.
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Dr. Witham received his B.A. from Indiana University, and his M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery, and is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Witham and his wife, Nancy, have 2 children. His hobbies include golf, reading, Bible study and entertaining his 3 grandchildren.
