Dr. Heckert graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his residency at George Washington University in Washington, D. C., and his fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the University of Iowa. Dr. Heckert is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. Dr. Heckert joined the staff of Green Bay Eye Clinic in 1991. His specialty areas are Extraocular Muscles (Strabismus) and Retinopathy of Prematurity.
