Richard G. Emanuelson, M.D. is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine. He completed his fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the West Virginia University Medical Center. He is board certified in Hematology, Medical Oncology, Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care.
Dr. Emanuelson sees patients in the office and holds privileges to see patients at Geisinger-Community Medical Center, Regional Hospital of Scranton, Moses Taylor Hospital, Tyler Memorial Hospital and Allied Services Rehabilitation Hospital. He serves as Medical Director for VNA Hospice of Lackawanna County.
Dr. Emanuelson is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American College of Physicians. He was chairman of the Cancer Committee at Community Medical Center and served on both the Allied Services Ethics Committee and the VNA Hospice Ethics Committee. Dr. Emanuelson was a volunteer for the PA Cancer Pain Initiative Speakers Bureau. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Komen Foundation as President of the local chapter and served on the board of the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute.
