Dr. Richard Foullon founded Verdugo Hills Urgent Care Medical Group (also known as Verdugo Hills Medical Associates) in February of 1984. He grew up in Glendale, California, and did his undergraduate studies at UCLA where he majored in Psychology. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1974 from the University of California, at Davis, and did his postgraduate training at the University of Utah Medical Center, Cedars of Lebanon, and Los Angeles County Hospital. Dr. Foullon has practiced Emergency Medicine and served as Medical Director of several hospital based Emergency Departments and large businesses and corporations in Los Angeles County, since 1977. He is the Medical Director of VHMA where besides his various administrative functions he has also practiced both Urgent Care and Primary Care. Dr. Foullon was voted "Best Family Physician in Glendale", by the readers of the Glendale News Press, for the years 1996, '97, '98 and '99, four out of the only five years during which he predominantly practice Family Practice. He is married to his college sweetheart, and has three adult children. His most treasured asset is his family, including his best four-legged friend ‘Zeus’.
