Dr. Ricardo Matos, our spine surgeon, is dedicated to the quality care of patients of all ages with conditions affecting the neck and entire back. Spinal disorders treated include: common causes of neck and back pain; nerve compression injuries and syndromes which may produce radiculopathy and/or sciatica; degenerative conditions such as spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease; herniated discs; traumatic injuries and fracture repair; sports-related injuries; deformities of the spine including adult and pediatric scoliosis; tumors; and other conditions of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Dr. Matos integrates non-operative modalities and established traditional methods of treatment with modern and advanced surgical techniques, including minimally invasive surgery such as kyphoplasty, implantation of X STOP Interspinous Process System (IPD), decompression, percutaneous spinal instrumentation, direct (D-LIF) versus transforaminal (TLIF) lumbar interbody fusion, as well as motion preserving technologies in the form of artificial disc replacement.
