Raymond A. Shofler, MD, is a board certified surgeon, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He received his medical degree from the Cornell University Medical School. His general surgery internship and residency were completed at the University of Southern California Medical Center. Dr. Shofler is a member of the California Medical Association and the Los Angeles County Medical Association, and is the former Chief of Surgery at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center. He has been in private practice in Burbank since 1984. Dr. Shofler specializes in the surgical treatment of breast cancer and colon cancer. He has a special interest in laparoscopic hernia surgery, and has extensive experience in the laparoscopic minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of intra abdominal illness. Dr. Shofler is committed to excellence in comprehensive health care for men and women, in a partnership that honors patient individuality and dignity. His approach involves understanding the patients health care needs and implementing state-of-theart techniques and compassionate care.
