Raul Varela, M.D. is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and other diseases of the joints, muscles and bones. Dr. Varela received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans and his Medical Degree from the University of Panama Medical School in Panama City. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Touro Infirmary at Tulane University and a Fellowship in Rheumatology at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans.
