Randall Burd, MD, PhD, is a pediatric surgeon and chief of the Emergency Trauma and Burn Services Division at Childrens National Medical Center. Dr. Burd has had a long-standing clinical and research interest in pediatric trauma. His research focuses on developing new approaches for the care of children soon after injury and his research is funded by the National Science Foundation.
