Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:Growing up, it was my dream to become a physician but to be honest, this decision was likely due to multiple reasons including: coming from a family of physicians, enjoying biological sciences in school, and interest in health and illnesses. Thus, I knew a career in medicine would be both intellectually and spiritually rewarding. What I want my patients to know about me:My goal is to develop a customized treatment plan depending on how pain limits the patients' functional activities. Regardless of the underlying etiology and severity, pain can affect your personal life, ability to work, interpersonal relationships and affect everyday activities. The two aspects of pain medicine that I enjoy the most is that the field of pain medicine continues to evolve very rapidly and does not follow an algorithmic approach to treating pain. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I enjoy spending most of my free time with my family. I really enjoy traveling, exploring new cities and countries. I am also quite a tech geek and enjoy photography.
