I chose dermatology because it enables me to do all the things I like best about medicine: talk to patients face-to-face, visually examine the skin, including using the microscope and use my hands to perform skin surgeries. I considered specializing in pediatric dermatology until I realized I really enjoy treating patients of all ages. For me, the patient comes first. All decisions easily stem from that.
