Shawn Stopperich, DMD Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon Dr. Stopperich, who was born and raised in Canonsburg, PA, has been practicing in McMurray since 1999. He completed his undergraduate education at Duquesne University where he majored in Biology. In 1993 he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Stopperich was the recipient of numerous awards including the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) Student award and the American Dental Society of Anesthesia Research Award. After graduating from dental school he completed a 1-year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery internship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He was then accepted into the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at the University of Florida where he completed his training in 1998. Dr. Stopperich is a fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), a diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (ABOMS), and is a member of several oral & maxillofacial surgery and dental organizations on the local, state and national level. Dr. Stopperich and his wife, Lauren, reside in Venetia with their 4 children- Paige, Alec, Aidan and Jillian.
