Dr. Gallagher obtained his undergraduate degree at John Hopkins University. He earned his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1976. From 1976-1979, he completed a pediatric residency at the University of Maryland Hospital. He did an allergy and immunology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center from 1979-1981. He is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics.
