As founder and owner of Transform Weight Loss, he and his dedicated team offer compassionate and customized care to anyone seeking freedom from obesity.An industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Billing is heralded as an innovator and early adopter of some of the most groundbreaking bariatric and metabolic procedures. In 2008, he performed the world’s first outpatient sleeve gastrectomy.He did his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and coauthored a sentinel scientific paper in oncology. He went on to medical school at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. Afterward, he entered the general surgery residency program at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Billing has been in private practice for almost 20 years focusing his clinical practice on hernia surgery, weight management, metabolic disease, diabetes, and innovative outpatient bariatric procedures. He is currently board-certified in general surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a Fellow of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (FASMBS). He started his newest company Transform to offer patients compassionate, comprehensive, and customized care. His goal is to help people get their life back.
