A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Moy received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine in New York City. He trained in general surgery at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles where he also completed a surgical oncology research fellowship. Dr. Moy continued his medical education with residency training in cardiothoracic surgery at the State University of New York - Downstate Medical Center, in Brooklyn, New York, and in 1989 he completed fellowship training in thoracic surgical oncology at M.D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute in Houston. From 1989 until 1994, Dr. Moy held an appointment as a clinical assistant professor with the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. During that same five-year period, he also served as chief of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at Olive View Medical Center in Sylmar, California, and chief of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at Sepulveda VA Medical Center, in Sepulveda, California.
Dr. Moy is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. His areas of special interest include thoracic surgical oncology.
