Brief Intro

Prior to his arrival to the area, Dr. Nordness most recently practiced medicine at Village Surgical Associates in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He also served as co-director of Cape Fear Medical Center Trauma Service beginning in 2005. A native son of Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Nordness earned his medical degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine prior to completing his residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Board certified in general surgery, Dr. Nordness said he is excited to bring his surgical skills to residents of the Monteagle and the Sequatchie Valley areas. Currently, he is part of the physician team at Valley Surgical Group located in Jasper, Tennessee, with fellow surgeon Dr. Conrad Manayan. Dr. Nordness performs most general surgery services, including laparoscopic procedures, appendectomies, gall bladder, colon, breast, and other general surgical procedures.
