Patrick J. Bannon, MD, recently joined the Hamot Heart Institute as a staff cardiologist.
Dr. Bannon comes to UPMC Hamot from Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, where he served as Director of non-invasive cardiology and Medical Director of the Heart Failure Treatment Program. Dr. Bannon was born in Cincinnati. He attended University of Notre Dame prior to receiving his medical degree from Georgetown University. Post medical school he completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Florida, Jacksonville. Dr. Bannon is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Society of Echocardiography.
