I was born in Michigan, and have considered Seattle my home for more than 10 years. I am happily married, and we have one amazing son, five dogs, and a mini horse named Oliver. I have always found fulfillment when working to improve the lives of others, and becoming a surgeon has allowed me the freedom to consistently do so. In 2016, I received _Top Doctor_ honors in Seattle Metropolitan magazine.
