Dr. Nesly Hneich is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc., a member Board of the American Board of Medical Specialties. Dr. Hneich is also a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. Nesly Hneich Specializes in Women's Mental Health and Women's Issues.Dr. Hneich was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and received her medical degree after completion of a seven-year program from Central University of Venezuela, Luis Razetti School in 1984. She began her medical career as a Gynecologist after completion of residency in Gynecology and Human Reproduction at Carlos J Bello Hospital - Venezuelan Red Cross in 1989. Dr. Hneich then completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Surgery at the same institution in 1993. Subsequently, Dr. Hneich held a very successful private practice in Gynecology, Human Reproduction, and Gynecologic Surgery at Clinicas Caracas Hospital between 1993 and 1998. Dr. Hneich moved to the Washington DC Metro area in 1999.In May of 2004, Dr. Hneich graduated from The George Washington University with a Master of Public Health with a concentration in “Community Oriented Primary Care”. Dr. Hneich proceeded to complete a U.S. residency training program in Psychiatry at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Washington D.C. During training, Dr. Hneich acted as chief resident. She also received a special award from the Council Doctors of the District of Columbia for her work in serving the homeless population in the District of Columbia; as well as an award from the Residents’ Union for her service as the Union Representative for 4 consecutive years. Dr. Hneich worked as a Hospitalist at INOVA Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, VA. She has admitting privileges at INOVA Fairfax Hospital and INOVA Loudoun Hospital in Northern Virginia.
