Dr. Zilz joined Overlake Internal Medicine Associates in 2001. Dr. Zilz earned his medical degree from John Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland. He did his Internal Medicine internship and residency at University of Washington in Seattle. He completed his fellowship in Cardiology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. During his Cardiology fellowship, he went to London, England for training in adult congenital heart disease at Great Ormand Street and Middlesex Hospitals. In addition, he has a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Cell and Development Biology from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. Dr. Zilz is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. He serves as the Medical Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory at Overlake Internal Medicine Associates and the Medical Director of Noninvasive Cardiology at Overlake Hospital . Dr. Zilz's clinical interests include general cardiovascular care and non-invasive and invasive techniques to treat patients with coronary and peripheral artery disease.
