He is board certified in pediatric cardiology as well as in neonatal and perinatal medicine. Kiciman earned his medical degree at Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey. He completed his residency in pediatrics at University of Oklahoma College of Medicine – Tulsa, and fellowships in neonatology and pediatric cardiology at UC San Diego Medical Center. As a clinical professor in pediatric cardiology at the UC Irvine School of Medicine, he is actively involved in the education of medical students, pediatric residents and fellows. He is also a faculty instructor at the medical school’s Medical Education Simulation Center on the Irvine campus. Kiciman, who has consistently been named among the top pediatric cardiologists in Orange County, sees patients at the UC Irvine Health Pediatric Cardiopulmonary Clinic in Orange, at CHOC-Children's Hospital of Orange County and at Miller Children's Hospital in Long Beach.
