Dr. M. Carter Hyneman joined Foot and Ankle of West GA as an associate in September of 2007. He graduated from Columbus State University with a degree in biology. He attended Des Moines College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed a two-year surgical residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he was one of the residency program's chief residents training at three large inter-city hospitals in Brooklyn and Queens, NY. At New York Hospital of Queens in Flushing, NY, Dr. Hyneman trained at a Level I trauma center where he specialized in trauma of the foot and ankle. At Wyckoff Heights he also trained under various MD's and DPM's in their Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Centers, treating acute and chronic diabetic wounds of the lower extremities. Dr. Hyneman was awarded a certificate in the Advance Reconstructive Surgical Skills in Foot and Ankle from Wright Medical and Biologics held in Phoenix, AZ.
