Dr. Hutchison holds a dual undergraduate degree from Wellesley College in Biochemistry and Political Science where she did her senior honors thesis and was Graduate Cum Laude. She completed both her medical degree and Ph.D. in Cell Biology from UT Southwestern where she was a Merck scholar and a member of Sigma Xi. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Childrens Medical Center of Dallas and a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at UT Southwestern. Immediately following the completion of her fellowship in 2004, which included an extensive study on the examination of IGF-I and GH-Regulated intracellular signaling pathway relevant to chondrocyte differentiation in the mammalian growth plate, she became faculty and is now an assistant professor of pediatrics in the division of pediatric endocrinology. She became board certified in Pediatrics in 2002. Dr. Hutchison is an attending physician at Childrens Medical Center of Dallas and is on staff at its Endocrinology Center where she treats patients in a teaching environment. Her laboratory at her academic office will continue to study long-bone growth. Her activity in the endocrinology community continues as she is a member of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research, The Endocrine Society and the American Medical Association, and also pursuing membership in the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society.
