Dr. Michael Mangonon is a board-certified General Surgeon and fellowship-trained Hand and Micro-vascular Surgeon. Practicing in Atlanta, Dr. Mangonon focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of both surgical and non-surgical conditions of the hand, wrist, and elbow in adult and pediatric patients. He is also experienced in minimally-invasive carpal tunnel surgery techniques.
Dr. Mangonon completed his undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He then went on to earn his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL. After graduation, Dr. Mangonon returned to his home state of New York, where he completed his General Surgery Residency at NYU Lutheran Medical Center, a Level-1 trauma hospital in the heart of Brooklyn. After finishing his residency, Dr. Mangonon went on to complete a Hand and Micro-vascular Surgery Fellowship at The State University of New York in Buffalo.
Prior to joining the Atlanta Hand Specialist team, Dr. Mangonon practiced in New York City, where he contributed to one of the top thriving and successful independent practices in New York. Today, he continues his dedication to the practice of medicine and provides compassionate and experienced care to the residents of Georgia.
