Dr. Gentry earned his undergraduate degrees from Kettering College of Medical Arts in Kettering, OH, and Ottawa University in Ottawa, KS. He then obtained his medical degree from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, OH, and completed an internship at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital, also in Athens. His residency in obstetrics and gynecology was completed at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, OH. He is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and holds professional memberships in several organizations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, the American Urogynecologic Society, the Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons, the International Urogynecological Association, and the South Carolina Medical Association. With over 30 years of experience in urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery for prolapse, Dr. Gentry specializes in hysterectomy, myomectomy, and treatments for conditions causing pain, such as endometriosis and interstitial cystitis. He is also a masters-level gynecologist and pelvic reconstructive surgeon, utilizing the DaVinci® Xi™ robotic surgery system to provide precise and careful surgical care.
