Dr. Macon is a graduate of George Washington University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at St. Agnes Hospital in 1989. He served in the U.S. Army from 1989-1993 and was Chief of General Surgery at the Gorgas Army Community Hospital in Panama as well as Kimbrough Army Community Hospital at Fort Meade. Dr. Macon entered private practice in 1993 and joined Maryland Surgeons in 2000. Dr. Macon serves as Chair of the Department of Surgery, and is the Medical Director of the Center for Breast Care at Howard County General Hospital. He also served as the President of the Professional Staff in 2006. Dr. Macon is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
