Dr. Eifling completed his undergraduate degree in molecular biology, and completed his medical degree and residency at the University of Colorado. He then went on to do a cardiovascular disease fellowship as well as a clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship and was chosen as chief cardiology fellow at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston, Texas. Dr. Eifling has served on multiple electrophysiology advisory boards and is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society. He has led medical expeditions to remote regions of the Himalayan Mountains. On these trips he provided care to underserved residents of India and Tibet and directed the care of patients with rheumatic heart disease.
