I spent my childhood moving across the heart of the United States. I've lived in 36 states, mostly in small communities like the one I live in now. I served three years as a medic in the infantry from 1972 to 1976. Then I went to college at The College of Idaho and medical school at the University of Washington. I completed my residency in Boise, Idaho. I've practiced in Anacortes my entire career so far and love the community and its setting. Family practice allows me to know patients over time, and that helps me provide better care for my patients. My major interests are my grandchildren, family and friends, books, tennis, and golf, along with our beloved Golden Retriever, Hamish.
