After earning a medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Russonella received extensive training in joint replacement, trauma and sports medicine at Peninsula Hospital Center (Far Rockaway, NY). The facility is an affiliate of the North Shore/LIJ Health System, which provides orthopedic care to the New York Jets, New York Islanders, New York Dragons of the AFL, Merchant Marine Academy and many other New York metro area local high schools. Dr. Russonella completed a one-year fellowship program at the American Sports Medicine Institute (Birmingham, AL), an internationally acclaimed orthopedic care and research facility, which routinely treats world-class professional, college and high school athletes. Dr. Russonella is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.Dr. Russonella is Affiliated with the following Hospitals -1.
