Dr. Ritter earned her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. She completed her internship and residency at Ochsner followed by a fellowship in cardiology and an additional residency in anesthesiology, both also at Ochsner. Dr. Ritter holds Diplomate certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine, the Subspecialty Board of Cardiovascular Disease, and the American Board of Anesthesiology. She is also certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and in critical care medicine. She has been on staff at Ochsner since 1985.
