Brief Intro

Meena W. Shatby, M.D. is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with extensive training in sports medicine and trauma. He is fellowship trained in the management of lower extremities, with focus on knee, foot and ankle and other sports injuries. He attended Clear Lake High School in Houston, TX, then graduated at the top of his class with highest honors, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Texas in Austin with a degree in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering, and was selected as an Engineering Scholar. After nurturing his passion for medicine in Austin, he pursued his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. There, he was awarded multiple awards including “Outstanding Academic Achievement”, and “Outstanding Student in Orthopedic Surgery”. He then completed his internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine, where he developed a special interest in sports, trauma, and reconstructive orthopedics. His interest in gait and ambulation pathology led him to complete a prestigious fellowship in foot and ankle, encompassing sports and knee disorders at Union Memorial Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview in Baltimore, Maryland. Upon completion of his training, he returned to Houston and The Woodlands to practice with passion in Orthopedic Surgery.
