Welcome to my Home Page
This is a large facility and it can be very easy to get lost! Please be sure to look at our Pulmonology Department Map of Facility so you can find us, as well as find the places we may send you for tests. You may want to print this map and bring it with you.
About Me
I grew up in Woodbridge, New Jersey, and have had the privilege of practicing at Kaiser Permanente since 1982. I am a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
In addition to seeing patients for the Department of Pulmonology, I also see patients in our Intensive Care Unit. I serve as Chief of Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine in the Diablo Service Area. In the past, I have served as Chair of the Regional Pulmonary Chiefs and Chair of the Adult Asthma Guideline Committee.
I feel it is important to help patients understand their condition. Patients deserve the opportunity to participate in medical decisions. I try to provide the same care I would want for myself or for my family. I enjoy people. Over the years, I have found that I look forward to the interactions I have with my patients.
In my opinion, I believe Kaiser Permanente is the best health care system on the planet. Kaiser Permanente's fully integrated approach supports my efforts to deliver care of the highest quality.
My personal interests include backpacking, sea kayaking, reading, gardening, bicycling, and do-it-yourself home improvements. We have quite a variety of pets at our home. I have a wonderful wife who I love very much and two teenage boys who keep me on my toes!
