Dr. Marshall Partington, M.D., F.A.C.S devotes his practice to enhancing the lives of his patients. He finds great joy in helping his patients' look and feel their very best at any age. Dr. Partington views each person and their story as a new journey with a very specific and unique objective. The happiness and gratitude of our patients is his greatest reward of all.
Dr. Partington attended Williams College and graduated with honors before received his medical degree from Cornell University where he was president of his class. He completed a rigorous 6 year general surgery program at UCLA and was trained in plastic surgery at New York University under the renowned Dr. Joseph McCarthy. Throughout Dr. Partington's post graduate training; he received awards for his performance throughout all areas of medicine. In 1985, while he was a research fellow of cardiothoracic surgery at UCLA Medical Center and was given the "outstanding second year resident award." One year later he was given the "award of merit for scientific contribution" from the Los Angeles Surgical Society. From 1987-1989 Dr. Partington was the instructor in surgery at UCLA Medical Center. The following year, Dr. Partington returned to New York to become the instructor of plastic surgery at New York University Medical Center. During this time he received the "best paper in hand surgery" at the senior resident plastic surgery conference. From 1992 -1996, Dr. Partington began his professing of surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and in 1993 received an award from the Robert Ivy Society for "first place for clinical paper" and first prize "Poster Section-Radiological Society of North America%u201D Dr. Partington has also pursued his hand surgery and microsurgery fellowship in San Francisco under Dr. Harry Buncke, who is known as the "father of microsurgery." Throughout Dr. Partington%u2019s career, he has been invited over 40 times to be a guest lecturer to his fellow medical professionals on over 35 topics he has specialized in. Dr. Partington has also been published in over 40 original papers. Dr. Partington moved to Washington to be Chief of Plastic Surgery at The Everett Clinic. He held this position for six years before beginning his own private practice in 1998.
Since 1992, Dr. Partington proudly volunteered as a surgeon with Interplast (now ReSurge International), the first not-profit organization to provide plastic surgery to children in need around the world. Dr. Partington considers it a privilege to contribute his skills to children with cleft-lip, birth defects, burns and hand injuries. Dr. Partington has also found joy in teaching his knowledge, training and techniques to doctors in China, Mongolia, the Philippines, Ecuador and Brazil. Recently, Dr. Partington has also taken his teaching to Mali, Africa and Viet Nam. Dr. Partington is honored to serve on the Board of Directors of Healing the Children another outstanding non-profit medical organization.
