I was born in Colorado, and spent most of my childhood and early adult years in Kansas. I served in the U.S. Air Force, and met my wife while stationed in Japan. We have two beautiful daughters, and a golden retriever who chews on everything. I enjoy learning as well as teaching, serving, and helping people do what they can to live their lives to the fullest. I have published over 10 journal articles in the field of allergy, asthma, and immunology. I am the program chief for the Allergy and Asthma group, and a Fellow in Clinical Improvement and Prevention. I was on active duty in the Air Force for more than 10 years, and am currently a flight surgeon in the Air Force reserves.
