He has written more than 50 articles and has been published in nearly every major journal in his field, including Neurology, Epilepsia, Epilepsy Research and Nature. Before joining Providence, he held teaching posts in the departments of neurology and neurosurgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and public health at Oregon Health & Science University and at the University of Washington.
