I have been in nephrology practice since finishing nephrology fellowship in 1994. My first two years were in academic-based practice at the University of Cincinnati. Then my family and I relocated to the Los Angeles area in order to be near our extended family. We have three children and for the first three years I worked part-time in order to spend more time with my children, especially because our middle child has special needs. I was in private practice nephrology until I joined Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Offices in 2001.
