Mark P. Hoornstra, M.D., F.A.C.E.P., is currently the Director of the Department of Emergency Medicine, and President and CEO of Nassau Emergency Medicine at St. Francis Hospital. He has been at the Hospital since 1996, after spending three years as the Northeast Regional Medical Director for National Emergency Services in Hauppauge, NY. He has also held positions at Bayley Seton Hospital in Staten Island, NY, as Director of Emergency Medicine, and as Assistant Director of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Queens. Dr. Hoornstra is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
