Brief Intro

Dr. Mark Ross received his undergraduate training at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York and his Doctorate in medicine from Georgetown University Medical Center in 1977 where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his internship in 1978 and a residency in internal medicine in 1980 at Maricopa County General Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Ross completed his residency in ophthalmology in 1984 at UNC Chapel Hill. Dr. Ross is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has active hospital appointments at McLeod Regional Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, South Carolina Society of Ophthalmology, South Carolina Medical Association, and the Florence County Medical Society. Dr. Ross is an experienced surgeon and performs cataract surgery, and refractive surgery. He has been performing refractive surgery (RK and PRK) since the early 1990's and LASIK since June of 1999. Dr. Ross has authored and co-authored numerous papers in ophthalmology and participated in research involving treatment of keratoconjunctivitis with interferon.
