Dr. Meyer was born in Hartley, Iowa. He received his B.S. in Biology from Buena Vista College in Storm Lake. Dr. Meyer attended the University of Iowa and received his Masters degree in hospital and Health Administration in 1993. He went on receive his medical degree and M.B.A. in 1997. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Wisconsin in 2001. Dr. Meyer and his wife Ann, who was born in Storm Lake, have been married since 1992. They have four children. He enjoys athletics, fishing, and gardening.
