Marilyn Sorensen, FNP is a certified family nurse practitioner with more than 35 years of experience in family medicine, women's health, and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. She graduated valedictorian with high honors from Brigham Young University with a master's degree in nursing and is board certified through the American National Credentialing Center. Through her career, she has become certified in bone health including osteoporosis detection and management through the International Society for Bone Densitometry as a clinical bone densitometrist. She has a passion for helping her patients feel their best through optimizing hormone replacement therapy. She is certified in botox administration. She is a member and past president of the Utah Nurse Practitioner Association and previous owner of a medical and day spa offering weight loss and botox. She has been a coach for the weight loss company Optivia, helping patients develop healthy habits and achieve optimal health. She loves to spend time with her patients and is known to be very thorough and listens to her patient's concerns. She speaks Spanish.Her work experience and specialties include general family practice for all ages including management of acute and chronic illnesses, women and children's health, osteoporosis prevention and management, fatigue, weight loss, hormone replacement therapy for men and women, Birth control options, IUD insertion and removal, thyroid management, PCOS, and wellness exams.Marilyn and her husband are the parents of six children and soon to be 10 grandchildren.
