Dr. Marc Backal graduated from Lafayette College and completed his medical degree and residency from the Medical College of Virginia. A Cherry Hill native, he and his wife are raising their three children in south Jersey, where Dr. Backal proudly continues his family's legacy of practicing pediatrics. Unlike other doctors who wear shoes in the office, Dr. Backal is known for wearing skates -- in-line skates with four wheels on the left and four wheels on the right. Kids love him, and so do their parents. Enthusiastic and animated, he encourages a friendly office environment and uses skating as an opportunity to talk with his young patients about the importance of exercise and diet.
