General Dentists
Rudolph J. Shorette, DMD
Dr. Shorette, a general dentist and senior partner in the practice, completed his undergraduate education at the University of Maine, graduating summa cum laude with a B.A. in zoology. He received his D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. While at Tufts he served as a representative of the student body during the development of a new curriculum. Dr. Shorette serves as a career mentor for both Tufts and the University of Maine.
He lives in Upton with his wife, Kathy, and their son, Daniel. Dr. Shorette’s interests include fishing, hockey and volunteering with his son’s Boy Scout Troop.
Daniel S. Winkler, DDS
Dr. Winkler completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a B.A. in Psychology in 1992 and received his D.D.S. degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 1997. A General Dental Practice Residency was completed at the Veteran’s Hospital in Philadelphia in 1998. Dr. Winkler then joined Franklin Dental Associates in 1998, where he became a partner in 2005. Dr. Winkler is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society and the Metropolitan District Dental Society. He is also a member of the Program Advisory Committee for Tri-County Vocational High School’s Dental Assisting Program. Dr. Winkler resides in Franklin with his wife Amy and their three children.
Victoria A. Cohen, DMD
Dr. Victoria Cohen joined Franklin Dental Associates in 1994. Dr. Cohen is a graduate of Smith College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology. She attended Washington University School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her dental degree in 1985.
Outside the office, Dr. Cohen enjoys hiking, swimming, reading and spending time with her husband, son, daughter and dog.
Matthew R. Wimmer, DMD
Dr. Wimmer completed his undergraduate studies at Marquette University majoring in Biomedical Engineering. He completed dental school at Tufts University in 2009 and went on to Detroit, Michigan to complete a one year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
In his free time, Dr. Wimmer enjoys rock climbing, rowing, skiing and hiking.

Gregory S. Theberge, DMD – Periodontist
Dr. Theberge attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his D.M.D. degree and his Certificate in Periodontology. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Rhode Island Dental Association, Providence Dental Society, Massachusetts Periodontal Society, International College of Oral Implantologists, Seattle Study Club, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He is also the founding member and co-director of the Providence Plantations Dental Study Club with Dr. Edward Katz. Over the past 20 years, the organization has provided an annual curriculum of continuing education for over 40 dentists.
He and his wife, Karen, are the proud parents to their daughter, Kaitlyn.
Maarten Broess, DDS, DMSc, DMD – Orthodontist
Dr. Broess earned his D.D.S. degree at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands before attending Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he completed his orthodontic specialty training and earned his D.M.Sc. and D.M.D. degrees. He has served as a Teaching Fellow, Clinical Instructor and Visiting Orthodontic Examiner at Harvard School of Dental Medicine for at total of 16 years and currently dedicates his full focus to the practice of orthodontics.
Joel H. Harrison, DMD – Oral Surgeon
Dr. Harrison earned his D.M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed additional training at Tufts University School of Advanced Studies. Dr. Harrison went on to receive his Certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
