Dr. Lisa T. DeGnore graduated from the University of Michigan in 1986 with an MD degree. She went on to an Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of N. Carolina and an Orthopaedic Surgery of the Foot and Ankle fellowship at Vanderbilt University. She was faculty at the University of Kentucky in the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery from 1993 until 1998 when she joined KOHS. At the University she was director of the Surgery clerkship for the School of Medicine, and won several teaching awards. Competitive grant funding allowed her to research the tarsal-metatarsal joints of the foot and publish the results. She is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery. She is a subspecialist in the Orthopaedic care and surgery of the foot and ankle. Special areas of interest include rheumatoid and degenerative arthritis, fractures and dislocations of the foot and ankle, and forefoot deformity (bunions and hammertoes). Recently, she has become certified in using the Ossatron Extra-Corporeal Shock Wave Therapy for resistant plantar fasciitis.
