Dr. Walker grew up in El Paso, Texas. He attended Sewanee University and earned a bachelors degree in Biology from the University of Texas in Austin. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Health and Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Tennessee Health and Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee. After his cardiology fellowship, Dr. Walker entered private practice in Gadsden, AL in 1986. Dr. Walker and his wife Eva have one daughter. Dr. Walker is an avid reader and enjoys travel, football and tennis.
