Dr. Altman received his medical degree in 1969 from Harvard Medical School, and received his medical training at both the University of Washington and at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. He is a Board Certified Allergist and holds academic positions as Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Allergy and Infectious Diseases as well as Affiliate Professor of Oral Biology and Environmental Health at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Altman has been involved in research studies through the University of Washington since 1975 as well as at the ASTHMA, Inc. Research Center, where he serves as a member of the board.
