Dr. Trotter received his BS degree in Biology from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah in 1984. He earned his medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California in 1988 followed by an internship and general surgery residency at Keesler Medical Center, Biloxi, Mississippi that was completed in 1993. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery. He is the medical director of Holy Famly Hospital's Bariatric Surgery Program.
