Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:I was motivated from a young age to pursue a career in medicine because of my sister. She has a rare genetic abnormality called CDKL5 deficiency disorder, which has plagued her with seizures as well as profound mental and physical disability. This instilled a desire to learn more about medicine so that I could help facilitate positive change for her and others in need. What I want my patients to know about me:I try to appreciate medicine from the perspective of the patient and patient's family member, as well as the physician. Additionally, I am an advocate for my patients and view them as members of the treatment team. I will provide evidence based recommendations and guidance as well to come to shared decisions tailored to meet the unique needs of the individual. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:When I'm not working, I enjoy exercising, reading and spending time with my family. I'm a Penn State football and Orioles baseball fan as well and enjoy catching these games whenever possible.
