Dr. Peters graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in biology from Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma, where his undergraduate research focused on cancer immunology. Following earning his doctorate of medicine, also from Oral Roberts University, he completed his internship and residency at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, Tampa, in the department of pediatrics. He completed a fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Peters joined Allergy & Asthma Associates in 1990 and is recurrently certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.
Dr. Peters is a frequent lecturer on allergy and asthma topics both locally and nationally. He has also served on the boards of state and regional medical societies.
He volunteers as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of Texas, Houston where he assists in training young physicians at the LBJ Hospital.
Since Dr. Peters and his family suffer from allergic rhinitis and asthma, one of his greatest strengths as a physician is his ability to see the clinical picture from the patient's point of view, and to fashion practical therapies in an empathetic perspective.
