Dr. Kevin Marks is a board-certified gastroenterologist who practices general gastroenterology and hepatology. His career in health care first began in 1991 when he received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana. Prior to entering medical school, he worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a clinical research administrator. He also worked as a retail pharmacist. Dr. Marks is a graduate from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed internal medicine residency in 2003 and fellowship in gastroenterology, hepatology and advanced therapeutic endoscopy in 2006, both at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Marks entered private practice in 2006 and has clinical areas of interest in colon cancer prevention, gastroesophageal reflux disorder, pancreas, biliary and liver disorders as well as weight management. Dr. Marks has served on speaker bureaus and advisory panels for pharmaceutical companies and he also serves on various hospital committees. He participates as an investigator in clinical trials. He is an active staff member of Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital and Houston Methodist West Hospital. Dr. Marks is a native of Southwest Louisiana and enjoys music and fine arts, cooking and various outdoor activities. Dr. Marks was voted Top Gastroenterologist 2017 by Living Magazine-Katy/Fulshear Reader’s Choice. He was also named Top Gastroenterologist 2013 by Houstonia Magazine.
