With over 15 years of neurosurgical experience, Dr. Kevin Vaught has the expertise to treat a variety of complex spine, brain and peripheral nerve conditions. He also coordinates nonsurgical and pain management care with his associates in Cape Girardeau and Perryville. As a medical student, Dr. Kevin Vaught was fortunate to have a mentor who set an amazing example of how to practice medicine with dedication and genuine compassion. Today, Dr. Kevin Vaught honors this experience by mentoring up-and-coming physicians and surgeons himself. Dr. Vaught has held several leadership positions at Southeast Missouri Hospital, including Chief of Neurosurgery, Chair of the Continuing Medical Education Committee, and Physician Excellence Committee Member. He also stays active in the community by giving educational presentations to local students, patients and other physicians. In his spare time, Dr. Vaught enjoys cycling, and he and his wife stay busy supporting the activities of their three sons.
